Pastor Joseph Tai

Pastor Joseph is the founder and Senior Pastor of Christian Assembly of Suburban Chicago. His passion has been to see people to grow in Jesus and become passionate about the Great Commission. Prayer ministry and teaching Christians to be “blessed to be a blessing” is one of his favorite messages and enthusiastically sharing the good news of Jesus with anyone willing to listen has been his life long passion. Pastor Joseph’s vision is to mobilize and train up Christians to make a difference in all walks of life – from the youngest child at home to CEO’s of major corporations – by reflecting Jesus in their lives each day and expressing the Kingdom of God everywhere. Pastor Joseph  is married to Ruth for over 40 years and has three sons and eight grandchildren and countless spiritual children.

Pastor Li-Shang (Li) Tai

Pastor Li is the English Pastor of Christian Assembly of Suburban Chicago and has been ministering in the church since 1995. His work has been focused on helping the bicultural family overcome barriers it faces (i.e. generational gap, language barriers, cultural differences) and be a witness for Jesus within the community. Pastor Li’s passion has been to see young people set themselves apart for Jesus and live a life of worship. “You are the Bible that other people read” has been a catch phrase that encompasses what Pastor Li-Shang has been communicating to the church and those he ministers to. Pastor Li-Shang is married to Hyeon Jong and has four sons.

Yvonne Cheng - Children's Ministry Coordinator

Yvonne currently is an elementary school teacher in Naperville, IL and she also serves as one of our Children's Ministry Coordinator. Yvonne has a passion to see kids learn about God's love for them, who they are in Jesus and His calling for their lives. Yvonne has grown up in CASC Yvonne is an avid badminton player and loves to eat ice cream. 

Annie Lee - Children's Ministry Coordinator

Annie currently is in the marketplace and is our other Children's Ministry Coordinator. She has a real passion to see people of all ages connected in the church and to be touched by the Holy Spirit.  Annie enjoys spending her free time with friends while seeing God move powerfully in their lives. 

Muriel Burk - Worship Coordinator

Muriel has a passion to see people encounter the presence of the Holy Spirit in times of worship and prayer. She currently works as a pharmacist for Vetern Affairs while coordinating and building up our various worship teams. Muriel is married to Keith and they have three lovely children whom she enjoys spending time with playing games or going on bike rides.

Geni Guo- Prayer Ministry Coordinator

Geni currently works at Villark Ventures and also serves as our prayer ministry coordinator. Geni's life passion is to be at the feet of Jesus, enjoying His presence and encouraging others to experience the same. She loves to see lives transformed in, through and by prayer. Geni enjoys trying to live each day to the fullest with those God brings into her life.
