Dear Parents and Leaders,
 
We are so honored and excited to be invited to minister to your children during the MTC conference. Our theme, “Uniqueness and Unity” promises to be a week of encountering the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, that will equip and release children into their destiny and a lifestyle of Kingdom living.

Our Heavenly Father has chosen us, His body, to represent and demonstrate His goodness, love and power to a hurting  world. Our purpose is to fulfill the very words of Jesus’ prayer, “Your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.’(Matthew 6:11). We can accomplish this as we walk, not only in our own individual uniqueness, but also as we walk together in unity, love, and value for one another.

Lessons will be focused on how we can learn to walk in unity by:

• Knowing how much our Father God loves and values us.
• Understanding that each one of us is a unique piece of a puzzle, that makes up one picture.
• Learning how forgiveness brings freedom to all.
• Speaking God’s words(prophecy) to one another.
• How honoring others helps us to discover the treasure in people.
• Being a friend like Jesus
• The need to have a strong godly character to walk out our destiny everyday

Each session will be a time of teaching and imparting Biblical truths in fun and impacting ways. Your children will be involved in these lessons, spend time soaking in God’s presence, journal about their encounters, play games, learn Bible verses , worship, and have fun!
 
God is good, and when children learn of His goodness and love for them personally, they will develop a strong affection for their Heavenly Father. This affection for God will then be directed outward to those around them, family, friends and those in the world.
 
Please join us in praying that God will have His way, and that this conference will be one of revelation, empowerment, and transformation for our children.

God has always led MTC to set a priority in connecting the generations.

Over the years, we have maintain a steadfastness in fully engaging our second generation with all aspects of ministry – in culture and language, even though it may seem inconvenient at times.  Moreover, we hold a strong conviction in focusing generous resources to our young people because we believe such is the value system of bringing heaven on earth.  This year, the Lord has blessed us with one of the best minister teams for children and their parents – Pastor Mike and Marilyn Seth.

Mike and Marilyn are founders of “Kids In His Presence Ministries” and are producers of “God-Friendly” resource materials.  Mike has authored, “Here Comes Heaven”, a children’s version of “When Heaven Invades Earth” by Bill Johnson.

Below is a note from Sister Tzu-Ann Tai on the children’s ministry:

Preschool (age 3-5)

The theme this year is “Royal Invitation-Bring Heaven’s Kingdom to Earth”, led by the Inter-generation ministry team.  We, as God’s little princes and princesses, are going to get ready to bring Heaven’s Kingdom to Earth.  We will learn the four keys to prepare ourselves for this wonderful calling.  They are praise, pray/prophecy, love/forgiveness, proclaiming life/healing.  Using these four keys will enable us to obey the two Greatest Commandments, loving God and loving our neighbors as ourselves.  Then, Heaven comes raining down on us!!  Come and learn how to become royal princes and princesses in the Kingdom of Heaven! Elementary (grades 1-5)

This year’s theme is “Heaven on Earth”, led by Mark and Yvonne Pan. We will spend some time studying what God says about Heaven in the Bible. He is preparing a beautiful and perfect place for us! But until that time comes, what does it mean to bring Heaven to Earth? Children will be learning about real-life applications that can help them understand this concept!

The following is a note from Pastor Li Tai on the MTC youth ministry:

“I am the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.” This is the way the Lord describes Himself – a God of covenants, a God of generations, a God whose desire is to bless families to the thousandth generation as they walk in His ways. As we approach our 2013 Midwest Thanksgiving Conference, our call to live “on earth as it is in heaven” is a commission given to the entire family. The heart of the Father for Heaven on Earth is as much “taught” as it is “caught” and so for our younger generation, we want to teach them, show them and then send them out to fully experience the Word of God.

Tim Brasic, college pastor of the Champaign Vineyard, will again be ministering through Word, prayer and hands on equipping for our young people to become “Heaven Makers” and “Earth Shakers” in the places where the Holy Spirit has placed them at this time. Come and be prepared to encounter, experience and express the work of the Holy Spirit through your life. Come and be a bearer of Heaven on Earth.

Generational connection and the family has always been one of MTC’s core values since its inception in 1995.  For this reason, the conference has always provided outstanding children and youth programs designed to help our younger generation understand their Kingdom call.

The raising up and release of our younger generation into their destiny call and to prepare them for these times are some of the most important tasks we have been entrusted with.  They are not just the Church’s next generation.  But they are a younger generation in the Church today that is being cultivated to build God’s Kingdom and prepare the way of the Lord.  Understanding their identity in Christ and finding intimacy with Him through the Holy Spirit are foundational steps in encountering, experiencing and expressing the fullness of God’s Kingdom through their lives.

At MTC 2012, we want our younger generation released into “the joy set before Jesus” (Hebrews 12:2).  This joy is what the heart of Jesus pursues and what His Kingdom is all about.  This joy is what we must prepare and position our lives for.  This year’s MTC student ministry will have Tim Brasic, campus pastor at the Champaign Vineyard (Champaign-Urbana, IL), engage and encourage our young people to not only experience the Kingdom of God but to express it in their everyday lives.  Tim has a powerful testimony and practical teaching that will engage, stir and fire up all who listen and respond.  There will be prayer ministry times for imparting a fresh Kingdom vision to the young people who hunger after seeing the Holy Spirit bring the joy of Jesus to their most formative years.

The Holy Spirit is moving and stirring many in our younger generation.  Don’t let them miss out on what God has blessed us with this time at MTC 2012.  Come ready to be set on fire for Jesus and see His Kingdom manifested.
