MTC 2018 – a Schedule

We would like to share with you MTC 2018’s General Schedule.  With that, we place our anticipation fully on the Holy Spirit, and relinquish this “pillar” of conference events – the “speaker agenda.”   It’s our honor to finally step into this new wineskin with you.

Because of MTC’s inter-generational priority, we have always striven to generously resource our children and young people focused ministries.  In that, we ask you to register today if you have children or young people attending.  That would tremendously help with the preparation of our team of dedicated ministers.

The schedule also opens Thursday afternoon for Thanksgiving fellowship and reconnect.  We encourage you to make arrangements with family and friends to catch up, reconnect, minister to each other, or just refresh at the hotel pool.

It’s our honor to step into this new wineskin with you.

Blessings.

MTC 2018 – This is Why We Come Together

If you are planning to join us at MTC, please register and make your Marriott reservations.  Your early registration is very helpful for us in planning a most enjoyable conference experience.  Thanks.

MTC was conceived 24 years ago with the charter to raise up Kingdom-centered people, who can be entrusted with great authority in order to fulfill their part in the end time great harvest.  This year’s focus on “Honoring Spiritual Inheritance” continues to reinforce that charter.

Inheritance establishes the foundation of our authority, whether biological or spiritual.  The linage of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob illustrates a clear case example.  But this case example also shows that our attitudes toward our inheritance can make or break our qualification in its authority flow.  By right and tradition, God could have introduced Himself to Moses as the “God of Abraham, Isaac, and Esau.”  Because Esau despised his birthright and dishonored his inheritance by seeing it to be no more valuable than food – to satisfy the “justifiable” yearning of his flesh – Esau denied himself his rightful place of authority, and in turn, God established Himself as the “God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob” forever.  Now that’s a heavy load.

As people called to walk in authority, we also must learn from the case of Esau.  Offenses against our parents, expectations unfulfilled by our spiritual coverings, hurts from our leaders, worldly values that disregard the older generations, and even disappointment in God can all drive us to despise our inheritance.  Our yearning, during this MTC, is to hear the Holy Spirit speak conviction into our hearts, and pour forth honor to our inheritance until our flesh hurts.

In this homecoming to the place of our inheritance, we will come to stand firm in the authority of our spiritual linage.

This year’s MTC is not purposed for personal development for advancing our careers, gaining entrance into a star college, or tripling our net worth.  MTC will always be about value transformation, through the denying of our flesh, so that we can gain authority by losing it.  God has not given us any “secret formula short-cuts” or “7-steps” for gaining the place of authority, but something far greater…He has given us the Body that manifests the counsel and comfort of the Holy Spirit.

This is why we come together.

Blessings.

MTC 2018 – Honoring Spiritual Inheritance – Re-Centering Our Call

We continue to press forward to faithfully carry out God’s call with our 24thMTC on November 21st – 25th, held at the Oak Brook Marriott near Chicago, IL.

This year, we intend to step into a conviction that the Holy Spirit has stirred in us since MTC’s inception in 1995.  In the past years, our conferences have generally been structured around speakers and music, with a strong focus on personal ministry.  In this season, we sense a clear leading by the Holy Spirit to change that order of priority – to move away from a speaker-centered agenda, and pursue one led by the Holy Spirit in real time. We will strive to do this through a team of sponsors (stewards of the MTC meetings) coming together to discern the Spirit’s direction, and leading the sessions into the flow of “Honoring Spiritual Inheritance”.

We see this change in the same vein as the “reset” that our good friend, Mike Bickle, is bringing to the Onething gatherings.  We also see this change as a part of the Holy Spirit’s agenda to transform the value systems of Jesus’ Bride, to prepare Her for a manifestation of Christ’s fullness that will be essential for us to stand in the coming season.

In flowing with the theme of “Honoring Spiritual Inheritance”, we extend a special call to the family members who have enjoyed a spiritual root with Pastor and Mrs. Joseph Tai, along with those who have ministered with us at MTC over the years.  It would be an honor for us to reconnect in seeking God’s heart, and “re-center” our call together as a stronger body for the coming season.

As Pastor Mike is taking Onething on a “reset”, we, after 23 years, will bring MTC to a “re-centering” with our spiritual family from far and near.

We welcome you home.

Blessings.

MTC 2017 – Growing Deeper

The Lord once again elevated us beyond expectation in all measures of ministry, worship, and coming together as His Body.  We sincerely hope that this MTC experience will root you deeper in the Lord and lift you higher as His testimony.

As a first step of follow up, we encourage you to recharge by revisiting our messages from the MTC 2017 Playlist, once again prepared by our talented and faithful brother Lars Magnusson.

Many have also requested the scripture references from Brother Philip Philip’s messages.  You can access those, in addition to the YouTube playlist at the MTC 2017 Follow Up webpage.

If you would like to share any testimonies, please send them to this email.  You can write them in either Chinese or English.

Your blessing to the Body through this gathering has been tremendously encouraging to us.  Please continue to press forth with us by reserving out November 21-25, 2018 for MTC 2018.

MTC 2017 – Fellowship in Our Magnificent Banquet

A newly updated schedule with speaker times is online now.  Again, we encourage you to support MTC by staying with us at the Marriott.  This is one of the most effective ways to support MTC because every room occupied will dramatically lower our cost for the hotel meeting facilities.

God has graced us this year with a most wonderful “feast” – ministers with amazing backgrounds, gifting, and testimonies.  A few snippets of what God has given to us:

  • General Manager of Sears’ Diehard battery and tires, who is also a fiery, Spirit-filled preacher
  • Pastor who makes waves in Central America through his decades long economic development work
  • African Evangelist who the Holy Spirit saved from organized crime and is now bringing revival to the Body through the testimony of Jesus and the word of prophecy
  • Former Chief Executive of Payless Car Rental (now Avis) whose “fathering heart” is raising up teams of Kingdom leaders in North America, Asia, and Europe
  • A hedge-fund veteran with a burning heart for the testimony of Daniel – that he has “resolved to not defile himself with the food and wine” of the world
  • Fashion Models risen up as Ministers/Missionaries/Mentors/Motivators with an apostolic passion to expand the church beyond the mold of a 501c3
  • Young Canadian pastor who preaches like a Korean, worships like a Korean, prays like a Korean, and is a champion in sending out his disciples to the ends of the earth…without pay

Such is the magnificent banquet God has set before us, prepared by many who have worked hard and made significant sacrifices.  In this gathering, may His Kingdom come and His will be done as it is happening in heaven.

MTC 2017 – Fellowship that Connects eartHEaven

Before we bestow our friendly reminder to register for MTC 2017, we would like to highlight a few exciting changes to this year’s program schedule.

First, the event flow has been relaxed to accommodate for more personal fellowship for building the family relationships of our body.  As the schedule shows, we’ve designated our meal times “fellowships” & “connections” as a reminder of how Jesus took the time to break bread with His core team and bounded their hearts together.  We hope that the generous time blocks will enable you to do the same by dining with family, friends, speakers, ministers, or people you have just met.  In as such, a “Family Time” has also been newly designated on Thursday to encourage you to plan a MTC family time together.  You can rest and relax at the awesome Marriott, tour the city, dine together (reservations recommended), visit with and bless others you haven’t seen in awhile, or even hold your own breakout session.  Change up your Thanksgiving tradition by making it a part of MTC, and taste God’s goodness flowing from this gathering of His heart.

Second, because we have been blessed this year with a strong group of brothers and sisters dedicated to personal prayer ministry, we have incorporated ample prayer ministry time into the schedule for every morning and afternoon.  If you or someone you know would like to receive prayer ministry, we encourage you to sign up for an appointment time by replying to this email.  You can also sign up during the conference, but appointment times would be subject to availability.

OK, finally, for the registration reminder – we have an eartHEaven gift that we really like to give you (and we think you would be happy to receive) if you register before the registration time stamp changes to November 9th.  Please register before midnight tonight!!

May the MTC gathering bless you in the connection of eartHEaven – Matthew 6:10,

MTC 2017 – Testimony of Jesus

One of the greatest asset we can receive from God is His testimony lived through our lives.  Revelation 19:10 tells us that  prophetic authority through the Holy Spirit is connected to the testimony of Jesus in us.  Jesus declares in John 13:34-35 that our authority to captivate the world’s attention flows from the testimony of how we love each other as the Church.

Testimony is authority.

But before it gets there, testimony will always begin with a test; testimony embarks on a journey through confusion and contradiction; testimony will walk us through the valley of the shadow of death; testimony may see us wrestling with God; testimony must be sustained with perseverance when we want to give up; testimony perceives God when He cannot be seen; testimony will demand grace, mercy, and forgiveness; testimony is us connecting heaven to earth.

We invite you to join us for MTC 2017 in a gathering to seek God’s heart for our testimony.

MTC 2016 – Sights, Sound, Support, & Survey

MTC 2016 saw the Rushing Wind of grace, forgiveness, and mercy blow through our temple.  Our hearts burst with thanksgiving for all the awesome testimonies of healing and giving.  The Holy Spirit imparted to us a new level of His manifestation, allowing us to experience a wave of mercy and building up of Christ’s body that we have yet to see.

Brother Lars Magnusson has, once again, provided an awesome set of main session videos for us to broadly share this experience.  His exceptional dedication to excellence and detail has been a great encouragement to us all.  May the Lord greatly bless the work of his hands.

As a past MTC participant, would you please also take a moment to respond to this very short survey.  Your inputs will provide a clearer picture and confirmation of where the Holy Spirit is leading our Body.  The survey will also provide an opportunity to join us in co-laboring in MTC.  We thank you in advance.

Finally, because we want to generously bless the godly servants who ministered at MTC 2016, we would like to extend to you that opportunity to bless.  You may still support MTC through this Paypal link.  If you prefer other fund transfer methods such as wire transfer or by mail, please contact us with a reply email.

May the Body be built up through your generous sacrifices.

MTC 2016 – Building the Body in Giving & Receiving

As a way to bless others with our abundance and open MTC’s experience to more participants, the conference this year will assume the hotel room cost for all registrants.

If you would like to stay at the Marriott for MTC, please register for the conference and make your room reservations through this weblink.  The MTC conference will cover the room cost and taxes.  If you have already made your room reservation(s), you do not need to do anything.  You may also change your reservations as needed for more or less room-night stays.

Note that each room reservation must be made by a person registered for MTC in order for the conference to honor the cost pickup.

This is one of those beautiful opportunities of giving and receiving that builds the Body in very visible and immediate ways.  If you are able, we encourage you to give generously to enable this strengthening of the Body.  If this season requires you to lean a bit on the Body, it’d be our honor to support you.  We only request that you respect this generosity by fully participating in the conference.

May the Rushing Wind of grace, forgiveness, and mercy blow through our temple.

MTC 2016 – Business Mentoring – Raising Up the Storehouse Builders

Over 22 years ago, God gave MTC the call to minister to the market place leaders of our generation – the “storehouse builders” – who will play a key role in preparing the church for the coming great harvest and darkness.  For this reason, MTC 2016 will host a series of breakout sessions specifically for business and career mentoring.

Leading the mentoring sessions will be our long-time friend and ministry partner, Elder Fred Lin.  As a church planter/teacher and the former CEO of Payless Car Rental (now part of Avis), Elder Fred has been faithfully serving the church as a leader and influencer across North America, Asia, and Europe.  We stand in great anticipation to see the Holy Spirit move mightily through him in ministering to and mentoring the “storehouse builders” of our generation.

The mentoring sessions will be held at 3:30 PM – 5:00 PM, Thursday-Saturday, during the conference.  In order to prepare for a most profitable time together, we require all business mentoring participants to complete a personal profile at this webpage.  For couples, please submit individual profiles for each person.

We look forward to standing with you in building up the Body – the precious Bride of Christ.
